Roy Ridley says:

all you religious fundamental-patients make me want to curl up and die from laughter

idm2008 says:

“A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned”(Matt12:35-36).
“…repent ye, and believe the gospel”(Mark1:15). Repent & trust the Lord Jesus today to escape hell before it is too late.

Kelly Draper says:

Bono is the fighting for poorest and the poor he has done outsanding job read it asshold

Kelly Draper says:

I am sick and fucking Tired of you are calling Bono devil you are a big fucking devil dude okay. He has done more than any other people so go fuck your self !

idm2008 says:

…However, this is when a believer falls into sin, not because he is living in it. For if he is living in sin he is not truly saved at the time he is living in sin(1Cor5:1-5), but needs to truly repent & trust the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord & Saviour in order “…to flee from the wrath to come”(Matt7:7).

armensog87 says:

@idm2008 God! what about those who cant speak??? would you poke them with a stich till they confess?? You cant take a quote out of the context and use it for absolute truth! Im sorry but if u put that criteria of absolute freedom from sin, then neither bono nor anyone else I know is saved and we all are only on our ways to salvation. do not be like the pharisees who didnt enter and didnt let others in as well.

idm2008 says:

When one is truly saved in the Lord Jesus Christ they no longer live in willful, habitual sin, but walk in the Spirit and not after the flesh. “For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries”(Heb10:26-27). However, if we do sin we can receive forgiveness when we truly repent & trust the Lord Jesus Christ(1Jn1:9)…

idm2008 says:

If someone does not turn from their sin, that means they have not truly repented of their sin & they are really of the devil, & not a true born again child of God. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”(1Jn3:8).

idm2008 says:

“Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them”(Matt7:20). The Bible says, “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived:…”(1Cor6:9). Bono’s evil fruit has cleary demonstrated that He truly does not know the Lord Jesus Christ. Someone who lives in sin, & does not repent & trust the Lord Jesus Christ, God Almighty will send them to an eternity in hell, because they have rejected His love gift of salvation(Jn3:16)….

idm2008 says:

No my friend, you are wrong. The words along with a repentant heart are essential for salvation(Rom10:9-10). How can one believe on Him without a preacher? “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?”(Rom10:14). There are many good hindus, buddihsts, muslims, etc. but they must repent & trust the Lord Jesus Christ or they are going to an eternity in hell(Rom6:23).

armensog87 says:

in the first place right? So let’s concentrate on heart and soul instead of words. We do not know the exact condition of Bonos soul, so we should’nt judge. If he says something that we think is wrong, that doesn’t make him a devil. Show me someone who always does the right thing, show me someone who only does what he sees his Father doing. If someone confesses and “accepts” Christ but isnt entirely free from sin, does that mean we should put them out? Then we would have a really bad picture

idm2008 says:

These are not magic words, at all, but the clear teaching of Holy Scripture. Words alone do not save anyone without true repentance(Matt7:21-23). However, true repentance is meaningless without one receiving the Lord Jesus Christ by faith alone as their personal Lord Saviour(Lk24:47;Jn3:16-21,36;Rom10:9-10). Both repentance and faith must be accomplished in order for their to be true salvation(Lk13:3;Acts20:21).

armensog87 says:

Ditto! So it’s about the condition of ones soul right? If he repents and reconciles with God through Jesus not by words but by the stance of the soul, then he will be saved. Of course you cannot be saved bypassing Christ, but that’s a spiritual thing and not words. Someone who repents his sins and accepts Christ’s word and teaching can be saved right? Cause his soul transforms, not cause he speaks something. So why be so narrow minded about that? So what about those who cannot speak? Heart is

idm2008 says:

Friend the Holy Bible is clear, that believing on the Lord Jesus Christ really means that one demonstrates a life of genuine repentance from sin, & trusts the Lord Jesus Christ by faith alone for their salvation. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”(Rom10:9-10)…

idm2008 says:

Friend if you know your Bible as you say, then why do not believe it? The Bible is clear that, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved”(Acts4:12). I never said a man is saved by his words alone, He must have genuine repentance & faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ(Matt3:3-8;Matt7:21-23;Lk13:3;Jn3:16;Rom10:9-10;Jam2:20).

armensog87 says:

plus I’d like to hear more on YOUR understanding of the phenomennon of salvation, and not Bible references, cause I’ve read my Bible and I believe what it says, I know my quotes as well 🙂 But think of putting that on our life and soul and what it means. It’s not just magic words right. Thanks

armensog87 says:

I’m sorry but this is why christianity is at this stage till now. Do you really think that a man is saved just cause of his words? If yes then half of the world is saved. I find that man’s soul is saved by its stance. If it’s about words and not cleanse then devil has won. I said I’m not a Bono maniac, but one has to admit that not everything is so radical, and that while lot’s will shout against gays and claim Christ as their savior, that won’t save them when they “stand” in front of God.

idm2008 says:

The Bible is clear(Jn3:16-21,36;Jn14:4;Acts4:12;Acts20:21;Rom5:1-11;Rom6:23).
… Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God”(Jn3:3). ” He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him”(JN:36).

idm2008 says:

The Bible says, “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified”(Gal2:16). That man from Africa must receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord & Saviour by faith alone in order for his sins to be forgiven or he will go to an eternity in hell(Jn3:16-21,36)…

idm2008 says:

Friend it is clear, that if someone is pro life & a true Born Again Christian they would not say, “”I believe that it’s a woman’s right to choose. Absolutely”(Mother Jones 1989). They would say that a woman does not have the right to choose murder, and that abortion is murder & sin(Prov6:16-20). Bono is clearly supporting abortion in his statement.

armensog87 says:

me this. If a gentile in africa, that cannot speak, repents his sins, sees all the stuff that is sinful and repents, and accepts what Jesus teaches which is his commandments to love God love one another in which all others are included, will he be given salvation or rejected just cause he didn’t have the formal side of the procedure? Did you listen to the song btw? 🙂

armensog87 says:

Ok look at it this way. He says woman has a right to choose right? Of course she has! The free will is what is given to us. If a woman has that inside but just doesnt commit that cause its a sin, thats not much of a good thing. So it’s our choice to sin or not to sin right? I said that Bono is conformistic and stays away from direct words but that doesn’t mean that he is PRO abortion. Now about gentiles , I’m not sure he talks about the same gentiles in your verses and mine. Besides that answer

idm2008 says:

Therefore my friend, the Bible does not teach in, anyway, shape, or form that one can be saved apart from repentance & faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ at all. but that one MUST repent of their sin & trusth the Lord Jesus Christ by faith alone in order to escape hell before it is too late(Lk3:13;Jn3:16;Jn14:6;Acts4:12). Bono & U2 are unfortunately a false prophets & who needs to repent & be saved through the Lord Jesus Christ. We love him & others, & are praying for their genuine salvation.

idm2008 says:

“For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law”(Rom2:12). The Apostle Paul clearly does not teach in the context of Romans chapter 2 that gentiles can be saved apart from the Lord Jesus Christ at all. Cornelius was not saved until the Apostle Peter came & preached the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to him, where he repented & received the Lord Jesus by faith alone to escape an eternity in hell(Acts10:1-48).

idm2008 says:

…the Word of God concerning salvation are the ones who will be left out. This is a clear rejection of the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word(Jn3:3-21;Jn14:6;Acts20:21). The Apostle Paul does not teach that one can be saved apart from repentance and faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ, but that all have sinned, & all need the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved from an eternity in hell(Rom3:23;Rom5:1-21;Rom6:23)…
